The Hotel Florida was where foreign correspondents covering the Spanish Civil War stayed during the siege of Madrid.

Hotel Florida is an independent publication launched in July 2024 by Alexandra Edwards, a writer and academic who teaches about anarchism and researches fascist movements and networks. Here you'll find occasional reporting on the three-way fight in Fort Worth and around the world: the far right and the fascist movements organizing here, the antifascists working to stop them, and the way the state responds to each. It's local, present-day, and historically minded—tracking how today's hate groups echo the ones that came a century before.
